'With God all things are possible’

The aims of science are to:

• give the children confidence to ask questions, share ideas and work collaboratively in practical activities.

• let children communicate their ideas using appropriate scientific vocabulary.

• enable children to record their findings in a variety of different ways.

• give opportunities for children to observe their environment.

• give opportunities to make predictions concerning the environment.

• give opportunities for children to develop their own theories.

• give opportunities for children to test these theories where appropriate.

• enable children to draw and report reasonable conclusions from their tests.
